Adult Nurture & Study
Adult Nurture and Study
Generally, every fall and winter, a small group gathers:
To reflect on a book of spiritual interest;
To study the Bible;
To have a pause during Lent for reflection;
To watch and discuss a film that engages our faith;
To focus on a social issue such as Eco-justice or native/non-native relationships.
These groups are generally led by a facilitator but sometimes individuals in the group take turns leading it. Depending on the persons involved, the group meets during the daytime or in the evening. Often in order to participate, study materials need to be purchased but no one who is interested is excluded because of this. Sometimes the group only meets once, some times for 4 to 6 gatherings and up to 12 sessions, depending on the purpose of the group.
If you are interested in participating in a group for adult nurture and study at Powassan United, contact the office 705-724-2815.
